# 问题现象

在Windows操作系统中安装Acronis产品时，安装失败，并在MSI日志中显示以下消息：
*MainEngineThread is returning 1603 MSI*
或者
*MainEngineThread is returning 1618 MSI*

日志示例：

# 问题原因

另外一个安装进程正在进行，或者在先前的安装之后需要重新启动操作系统。

# 解决方法
1. 重新启动计算机。
1. 启动**任务管理器**，并确保没有**msiexec.exe**进程在运行； **msiexec** 是 Windows Installer的进程。如果任务管理器中存在**msiexec.exe**进程，则说明系统内正在进行一个安装进程。要结束该进程，请选择它，然后单击**结束进程**。
1. 重试安装 Acronis 软件。
1. 如果安装仍然失败，请遵循[此Microsoft知识库文章](https://support.microsoft.com/zh-cn/help/834484/you-receive-an-error-1603-a-fatal-error-occurred-during-installation)中的建议。

# 问题原因

1. 另外一个安装进程正在进行，或者在先前的安装之后需要重新启动操作系统。
2. 在个别系统可能与VC++运行库版本有关。

# 解决方法
