问题现象

在Windows操作系统中安装Acronis产品时，安装失败，并在MSI日志中显示以下消息：
MainEngineThread is returning 1603 MSI
或者
MainEngineThread is returning 1618 MSI

问题原因

1. 另外一个安装进程正在进行，或者在先前的安装之后需要重新启动操作系统。
2. 在个别系统可能与VC++运行库版本有关。

解决方法

1. 重新启动计算机。
2. 启动任务管理器，并确保没有msiexec.exe进程在运行； msiexec 是 Windows Installer的进程。如果任务管理器中存在msiexec.exe进程，则说明系统内正在进行一个安装进程。要结束该进程，请选择它，然后单击结束进程。
3. 重试安装 Acronis 软件。
4. 更新VC++运行库版本，请参考此Microsoft文章。
5. 如果安装仍然失败，请遵循此Microsoft知识库文章中的建议。
6. 如果问题仍然存在，请收集 MSI日志 和 Acronis 系统信息日志，然后与联系技术支持。
